This was sent to me through my Friendster Account by Napoleon Hill(Author) Account. These are just some of the reasons why we fail and hopefully we will have stronger desire and capacity to overcome these stumbling blocks.

1.UNFAVORABLE HEREDITARY BACKGROUND. There is but little, if anything, which can be done for people who are born with a deficiency in brain power. This philosophy offers but one method of bridging this weakness—through the aid of the Master Mind. Observe with profit, however, that this is the ONLY one of the thirty causes of failure which may not be easily corrected by any individual.
2.LACK OF A WELL-DEFINED PURPOSE IN LIFE. There is no hope of success for the person who does not have a central purpose, or definite goal at which to aim.
3.LACK OF AMBITION TO AIM ABOVE MEDIOCRITY. We offer no hope for the person who is so indifferent as not to want to get ahead in life, and who is not willing to pay the price.
4.INSUFFICIENT EDUCATION. This is a handicap which may be overcome with comparative ease. Education consists, not so much of knowledge, but of knowledge effectively and persistently APPLIED. Men are paid, not merely for what they know, but more particularly for WHAT THEY DO WITH THAT WHICH THEY KNOW.
5.LACK OF SELF-DISCIPLINE. Discipline comes through self-control. This means that one must control all negative qualities. Before you can control conditions, you must first control yourself. Self-mastery is the hardest job you will ever tackle.
If you do not conquer self, you will be conquered by self. You may see at one and the same time both your best friend and your greatest enemy, by stepping in front of a mirror.
6.ILL HEALTH. No person may enjoy outstanding success without good health. Many of the causes of ill health are subject to mastery and control.
7.UNFAVORABLE ENVIRONMENTAL INFLUENCES DURING CHILDHOOD. “As the twig is bent, so shall the tree grow.” Most people who have criminal tendencies acquire them as the result of bad environment, and improper associates during childhood.
8.PROCRASTINATION. This is one of the most common causes of failure. “Old Man Procrastination” stands within the shadow of every human being, waiting his opportunity to spoil one’s chances of success. Most of us go through life as failures, because we are waiting for the “time to be right” to start doing something worthwhile. Do not wait. The time will never be “just right.” Start where you stand, and work with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools will be found as you go along.
9.LACK OF PERSISTENCE. Most of us are good “starters” but poor “finishers” of everything we begin. Moreover, people are prone to give up at the first signs of defeat. There is no substitute for PERSISTENCE. The person who makes PERSISTENCE his watch-word, discovers that “Old Man Failure” finally becomes tired, and makes his departure. Failure cannot cope with PERSISTENCE.
10.NEGATIVE PERSONALITY. There is no hope of success for the person who repels people through a negative personality. Success comes through the application of POWER, and power is attained through the cooperative efforts of other people. A negative personality will not induce cooperation……..

Each and everyone has a story to share. So to start with, I'd like to share with you all my story as to how the idea cam up, the story of my life and I'd like to encourage you to all to share your own stories with us here because each and everyone has a tale to tell. Read on for my story...

Birth

To start with, I am going to share to you a little story about how I wanted to have a site like this that you can share your personal stories, be critiqued and share your thoughts with others that have passion in sharing their stories and in writing. I’ve been writing since I was fifteen. It was a cool hobby that has helped me become more creative, imaginative and like most ladies, believe that someday my Prince Charming would come and love me like no one did.

Many times in my life I’ve met many interesting people that has motivated, uplifted or even made me cry throug the stories they shared to me. I’d like other to enjoy those stories too! So the idea of creating a site, or more like a blog, that would enable its readers to have their own stories published too! Critique is one good way to improve and to know our strong points in writing. With the help of others we can determine which to improve or what we do best. Want to tell or share a story? Then this place is for you! Feel free to contact me through email so I can review your stories and have them published here so others could enjoy it too!

What to Share

Ever felt so ecstatic about something? Blurt it out! One cool movie rocks and you’d like to share to others about it? Then shoot me and email and we’ll have the world know your thoughts right away! Consider this site as your own and you retain the rights to your works!

Or there’s one hot guy in your neighborhood that you’re so head-over-heels in loved with, then it’s about time you share your feelings or ask others for advice in here! Just had a date with the campus crush? Tell us how it went. We’re all so interested as to how everything went. It’s all about you and the people that matters to you!

My Story

I’m 20 and I’m working full-time as a Call Center Agent. Right, whatever you’d want to call it, we are one of those what you might consider annoying telemarketers, but hey, it’s where I’m getting the fund for my studies, for my tithing and for our daily survival! I love the job, I’ve been working with an outsourcing company here in Iloilo, Philippines for a couple of years now. It’s a graveyard shift and it’s really convenient on my part because I could get to go to school in the morning. By the way, I’m taking Marketing as my major subject. Cool, huh? Telemarketing in the evening and taking Marketing in the morning. hehe

My interests ranges from laws, celebrities, books, technical stuffs, Church, family and many others. I also maintain a blog entitled, “It’s All Here: Your Gateway to Latest Celebrity News”. It’s about what’s new in Hollywood. I think Vanessa Hudgens is such a beautiful young lady so I blog a lot about her and her fashion style. Harry Potter is my all-time favorite movie. I think Daniel Radcliffe is such a cool hottie! Meagan (that’s the name of my laptop) helps me accomplish my daily tasks and we’ve just been together for barely a month now. She’s working pretty crazy at times but I’m cool with it. She’s pretty slow when I run pretty heavy applications but all in all, she’s a darling! Speaking of darling, David Archuleta is such a cool guy. He’s a Latter-day Saint too! I think he’s really amazing. He smiles a lot and he’s such a sweet guy.

I am pretty much family-oriented like my Church. We hold FHE (Family Home Evening) activities almost every Monday together with the full-time missionaries and investigators so expect me to post our pictures from time to time. I’m preparing to go on mission hopefully by second quarter next year. I know it’s a pretty tough decision but I know the Lord will guide me through. He gave me all the desires of my heart so it’s about time to give Him back the love and the kindness through serving Him in the field.

My friends in Facebook described me as the person with the most beautiful hair probably because I always keep it long..hehe. They also voted me as a good public speaker. I love to speak and to write as well so perhaps that’s what explains it. They also think that I’m trustworthy, so you can trust me on your stories, not that they won’t be told, but surely they’ll be published! (that’s why you went here right? hehe)

Those are just some of the things about me. It’s about time you share yours too! I’ll bet people around the world would like to hear from you!
